While we work with students across the country, our immediate opening is:

Location:

  • Bowie Unified School District #14
    • Bowie, AZ 85605 (District-designated computer lab)
    • In-person

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday afternoons (no Friday sessions, school holidays, or District-designated break periods)
  • 2 hours per day, 8-10 per week.

Hours:

  • Part-time, afternoon hours during the school week (Monday–Thursday only).

Pay:

  • $18-$20 per hour based on experience.

As a Facilitator, you will:

  • Monitor the District-designated computer lab during virtual tutoring sessions.
  • Escort students to and from their scheduled tutoring sessions.
  • Support the smooth delivery of virtual small-group tutoring (Math/ELA, maximum 3:1 ratio) led by StudentNest's virtual tutors.
  • Assist with daily student attendance tracking.
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact between StudentNest and the District.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and focused environment during sessions.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and 30 college units/credits required; formal education requirements may be reduced based on exceptional amounts of classroom experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in tutoring, coaching, teaching, or mentoring K-8 students.
  • Ability to work effectively with K-8 students and constructively overcome objections to receiving academic assistance.
  • Proficiency in utilizing standard technology tools, including Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Successful completion of an FBI/DOJ background check in accordance with school district protocols.
  • Strong written communication skills for clear, timely email correspondence with colleagues and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in classroom work, tutoring, coaching, or mentorship of K-8 students.
  • Associate degree or equivalent college credits
  • Experience using LOTUS, StudentNest's adaptive learning platform.
  • Experience working with English Language Learners (ELL) and/or students with learning disabilities.
  • Bilingual/multilingual capabilities (particularly in Spanish).
