While we work with students across the country, our immediate openings are:        

Location: 

• Locations throughout Los Angeles County (Libraries)
• Including South Gate, CA 90280

Schedule: 

• Los Angeles County Locations start in January 2025
  • Tuesday & Wednesday, 3:30pm-7:00; Thursday, 2:00pm-5:30pm
    • This contract begins 01/28/2025. Training to begin the week prior.
  • Other opportunities open in the interim (in-person and virtual)

Hours: 

• 10-15 hours per week for the Los Angeles County Library contract. Additional hours available with other contracts should you fulfill this requirement.

Pay:  

• $22 per hour standard  
• $23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)  
• $24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor 

 In this role, you will: 

• Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.      
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

• Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer
• You will pass FBI/DOJ background check
• You can provide 3 professional references
• You have a minimum of 60 units of college credits
• You have at least one year of student-related experience
• You are detail-oriented and highly dependable
• You are an effective communicator 
• You have reliable transportation
• You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
• You love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar
