While we work with students across the country, our immediate openings are:     

Location:

San Bernardino, CA area (Zip codes 92401–92415)

Schedule:

  • Start Date: Mid-September 2025 (with additional hours expanding in ~7 weeks under a new district contract)
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (with the possibility of Sundays 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Subjects:

  • English Language Arts
  • Math (various levels depending on student need)

Position Type:

  • In-person substitute tutors (1–2 openings), with opportunity to expand hours under San Bernardino Superintendent of Schools contract.

Hours & Pay:

  • 12–20 hours per week to start, with opportunity to increase once new contract begins
  • $24–25 per hour, based on experience and/or credential status
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish (required)

In this role, you will:

  • Provide small group or one-on-one tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
  • Manage session dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Have 1–2 years of prior tutoring or teaching experience
  • Have a minimum of 60 units of college credits
  • Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer
  • Will pass an FBI/DOJ background check
  • Can provide 3 professional references
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
  • Are detail-oriented, highly dependable, and an effective communicator
  • Love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar
