While we work with students across the country, our immediate openings are:

Location: 

  • Los Angeles Unified School District school campuses (specifically for American Sign Language students) 
  • Los Angeles, CA 90008

Schedule: 

  • In-Person
  • Days and hours TBD

Pay:

  • $30 per hour (American Sign Language proficiency required and you're a credentialed teacher or certificated tutor)

 In this role, you will: 

  • Provide small group tutoring sessions to students in ASL using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
  • Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.      
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. 

Please apply only if you: 

  • Spanish speaking is preferred
  • Have tutoring experience with K12 ASL students
  • You are an effective communicator in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • You have at least one year experience working in a school setting
  • Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer
  • In this role you will need to be able to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position
  • You can provide 3 professional references
  • You have a minimum of 60 units of college credits
  • You have at least one year of student-related experience
  • You are detail-oriented and highly dependable
  • You have reliable transportation
  • You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
  • You love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar
